Head Trainer – Lauren Turner
Lauren has been involved in horses for her whole life. Starting out as a horse crazy kid, her parents hoped it was a passing phase. But, the more summers she spent at horse camp, the more obsessed she became about these beloved animals. Now devoting her life to the education of both horse and rider, Lauren Turner has become a 1* eventer with big goals ahead. Her most recent title was winner of America’s Most Wanted Thoroughbred at the Retired Racehorse Project’s Thoroughbred Makeover with her 2012 OTTB, Fairway King. She is currently developing her next event horses and continues to event with King as he progresses through the levels.
Owner – Chase New
Chase has been in the horse industry for over 20 years. He is a full time farrier serving the Alpharetta area and working on top horses in the sports of eventing, hunters, and jumpers. He started construction on River Birch Farm in 2009. This farm is a result of his vision, ambition, and creativity. What was once an undeveloped plat of land, he has developed into a premier equestrian facility that he continues to improve and develop each year. When not working, you will find Chase working on his latest project, building a new accessory or amenity for our boarders at River Birch Farm. He is available to use as the farrier for you horse boarded at our facility, but by no means required.
Caretaker – Steve Owens
Steve has been with us since day one of River Birch Farm. He has taken care of every horse that has been on the property, and helped us complete the momentous undertaking of constructing a custom horse farm. His clear love of the animals is what makes him the perfect fit as caretaker over our facility. We are fortunate to have him as a part of our team.
